This website is being decommissioned on 31/03/2026

After several years of Citizens Advice Rutland delivering a dedicated service to support the Voluntary and Community Sector, and working collaboratively to develop a strong and shared strategy, it has been agreed that the VCS is now in a strong position to continue this important work independently.

Over this time, Citizens Advice Rutland and the VCS have worked hard to establish meaningful connections across communities and to provide vital support to residents who need it most. The foundations that have been built place the VCS well to continue delivering impact, innovation, and community-led solutions.

RCC still has funding to support this work, and moving forward, these funds will be distributed by them through a Small Grants Programme. This new approach will enable individual voluntary and community organisations to apply directly for funding to deliver specific projects that meet local needs and priorities. Further information about how to apply for these grants will be made available soon.

We are incredibly proud to have worked so closely with so many organisations across the sector. It has been a privilege to see first-hand the dedication, passion, and commitment of volunteers who work tirelessly throughout the year to support their communities. We have truly valued the opportunity to support the sector’s many initiatives and achievements, and we look forward to seeing this work continue to thrive under the new arrangements.

The Conference Room will remain available to the VCS and can continue to be booked in the usual way by emailing conference@citizensadvicerutland.org.uk.

There is a free country wide matching website run by the Royal Voluntary Service called GoVo, please see https://govo.org/

We are encouraging Rutland voluntary organisations to register with this site so that all Rutland volunteering opportunities are advertised as they currently are on Volunteer Plus. Prospective volunteers can also register at the site GoVo website.

We would like to thank you for using our website which we hope has been useful.
