Volunteer Driver (Social Car Scheme)

Rutland is a very rural county that does not have easy access to amenities, healthcare provisions or even some of our open spaces. Our volunteer drivers help elderly, frail vulnerable or disabled people get access to amenities and appointments inside and outside of our county. As a volunteer you can choose to drive as little or as much as you would like to and we pay 45p for every mile you drive. Every day we have to turn requests for drives to vulnerable people, so you can make a huge difference to our rural community by joining us. You will also get a feeling of wellbeing, make friends and join a passionate group of volunteers.
