We are looking for a volunteer to help raise awareness of our cancer support group. The role focuses on promoting the group through social media and by distributing printed posters and flyers in local community spaces such as supermarkets, libraries, community centres, and GP surgeries and helping at promotional and fund raising events. Your work will help ensure that people affected by cancer know that support is available in Stamford and Rutland.
Skills
Friendly, reliable, and organised Comfortable using social media platforms (personal or volunteer experience is fine) Good written communication skills Interest in health, wellbeing, or community support Lived experience of cancer is welcome but not required
About Stamford and Rutland Cancer Support
Stamford and Rutland Cancer Support meets regularly at various locations in Oakham, Ryhall, Stamford and Melton Mowbray. We welcome anyone affected by any type of cancer as well as family, friends and carers.

When can I volunteer?
Availability Details
We would expect the volunteer to work from home for approximately 2 - 4 hours a week. There may be a requirement to help us distribute information to local shops, businesses, groups and health centres. Fundraising and community events are normally held over a weekend and we would hope that the volunteer could help for approximately 2 - 4 hours at each event.
