LGBTQ+ Youth Club :
Rutland's LGBTQ+ Youth Group is for young people aged 13-18 years old, offering a safe space for young people to feel comfortable in themselves and make new friends.
The group meets on the Third Wednesday of the month from 5:15-6:45pm.
Young people attending may need support if they are feeling nervous or worried about joining the group, so a volunteer with excellent relationship building and listening skills will be required.
As this is a new group run by Young Peoples Services, we are ideally looking for a volunteer who may have some useful life experiences and use these to help support this cohort.
We offer:
• A warm welcome to all young people
• Friendly, caring and supportive youth club staff
• Fun, interesting and educational activities
• Formal certificates for some of the activities
• A sexual health service
• Occasional trips to exciting and interesting places
We love to see new faces in all our clubs and all are welcome.
An example of what we offer:
Young people choose their own activities however, examples include, cooking, games, dancing etc.
