Charity Trustee

We are a charity based in Melton Mowbray and we hire wheelchairs and mobility scooters to those with mobility issues. We plan to open an Oakham branch when premises are found. We have 2 trustees who live in Melton and we would like another one or two trustees to join the team who would have oversight of the Oakham side of things.

Skills

No specific skills, just common sense and a willingness to support the operation by being available occasionally to see that we operate in accordance with our rules and good practice. Management committee meetings are held in Melton every 6 weeks, or so, and you would be expected to attend these when you can.

About Shopmobility Melton Mowbray

We provide mobility scooters and wheelchairs for hire at non-commercial rates to those with mobility issues. We are based in Melton but are not limited to Melton residents so a hirer may be staying in the area and find it easier to hire than to bring their own equipment with them. We have some members who live in Oakham. A hire may be for a day session or a weekend (as per our opening hours) or longer.
