We are in constant need of
volunteer drivers to use their own cars to provide transport for frail,
elderly, disabled and vulnerable adults in Rutland. The trips could be to attend hospital, doctor, dentist and optician appointments, hospital visits and, on occasion, visits to friends and
relatives. All out of pocket expenses,
including a generous mileage allowance, paid. The time devoted need be only as much or as little as you
wish. The extra resource will help us to
meet a growing demand in our community.
Skills
Full clean UK Driving Licence for at least 3 years, Good people and communication skills and the ability to work unsupervised.
About Voluntary Action Rutland
Voluntary Action Rutland operates an extensive voluntary transport scheme (a door-to-door service) for frail, elderly, disabled and vulnerable people in Rutland who have difficulty in travelling independently around the area covered by the Transport Scheme.
