About
Stamford and Rutland Photographic Society has been active for many years and was set up by a group of enthusiastic photographers who wanted something different from the typical “Camera Club”, the type which focused on intense competitions. They wanted a friendly environment where members could learn from entering the monthly competitions and develop their photographic skills.
That ethos is as true today as it was then. As can be seen from the varied programme for the current year, in addition to the competitions, which involve both an Individual print and a Group of 4 images on the same theme, other activities include local photo walks, tuition from other members and external experts as well as presentations from top photographers.
