About

Community First Responders are volunteers who give their time freely to help save lives in their community.

Responders are everyday members of the general public who are trained to provide some immediate assistance to persons who have called 999 for medical help. We provide support until the arrival of the ambulance service. We are trained in CPR and the use of defibrillators.
We will manage the care and immediate needs of the patient and family in what can be potentially life threatening conditions.

We also provide medical cover at public events and provide a demonstrations and hands-on practice in CPR, and demonstrate the use of defibrillators to village groups in Rutland.
